·          Executive Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of La Fayette Investment Management (UK) Ltd., responsible for the general business management of the firm and specifically the investment management of the La Fayette Group of Funds which he has advised since 1992.

·          Prior to La Fayette, Mr. Visser founded Société Parisienne de Gestion SA (SPG) in Paris in 1988, where he was responsible for the build-up of a new private banking activity as well as the investment management of the firm's assets.

·          Prior to that, Mr. Visser was active with MSD (Merck, Sharp & Dohme) from 1978 through to 1986, and with Central Soya from 1971 through 1977.

·          He graduated from Essec (Paris) in 1971 and holds a BA in Economics from the University of Lille (France).

·          Non-Executive Director. Former Group Finance Director of Sun Life and Provincial Holdings plc from 1996 to 1999. 

·          He was head of Northern Europe at Union des Assurances de Paris (UAP Group).

·          Non-Executive Chairman of London & European Title Insurance Services Ltd.

·          He started his career as First Vice President of Banque Indosuez.

·          Mr Avenel holds a Masters in Law from Paris University.
